Kep1er’s Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun have tested positive for COVID-19.
On January 27, SPOTV News reported that the two idols were diagnosed with the virus.
Later on the same day, WAKEONE Entertainment and Swing Entertainment released an official statement to confirm the news was true.

We regret to inform you that Kep1er’s Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun have tested positive for COVID-19 today (January 27).
Both of the members have already completed their second doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
The rest of the Kep1er members have tested preemptively for COVID-19 and received negative results, and they are showing no symptoms such as fever or respiratory infections.
Currently, Kep1er has suspended all upcoming schedules in order to take necessary measures.
We will take necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by putting the artists’ recovery and the safety of all artists and the staff first.
We apologize for causing concern.
Two members of the new group Kep1er, namely Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun, were confirmed to have been infected with the corona virus, so of course they had to take a break from all activities temporarily.

Today, Thursday (27/1), the media reported that two members of the new group Kep1er, namely Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun, contracted Covid-19. Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun got positive results when they did a routine PCR test.

Although positive for the corona virus, Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun certainly do not have significant symptoms. Meanwhile, the PCR test results of 7 other Kep1er members were negative. Other Kep1er members are of course categorized as close contacts with Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun.
Kim Chae Hyun and Seo Young Eun who contracted the corona virus of course made Kep1er’s promotion schedule to be reviewed again. Currently, Kep1er is known to be still in the promotion period for their debut with the mini album “FIRST IMPACT” with the main song “WA DA DA”.
Kep1er is known to have officially debuted on January 3 last, so they are currently busy promoting. The promotion period for debut or comeback is known to be usually 1 month long. Recently, Kep1er also held a fan meeting.
Meanwhile, the debut of the group that dropped out of the Mnet survival event “Girls Planet 999” was initially known to be December 14, 2021. However, the debut was postponed because one of the staff tested positive for Covid-19. Shen Xiao Ting and Sakamoto Mashiro were also previously confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
